We belong to God!

WE BELONG TO GOD ALMIGHTY!
     Reading Leviticus and what I noticed over and over again is how God keeps telling Israel that they belong to him and that they need to be consecrated to him. Reading the 20th chapter puts goosebumps on you because it is about child sacrifice and sexual immorality. Leviticus 20:7-8 says, "Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. Keep my statutes and do them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you." (ESV). We see this same message from God later in the 22-26 verses. I know that this promise belongs to the nation of Israel, but I know through the blood of Jesus it belongs to all of us who believe. If we have gave our life to Jesus and are born again, we must now live it out. God tells them to not only keep his statutes, but to do them. Often times I even catch myself talking about this and that, but not doing anything. In this evil generation we must separate ourselves for God and keep Gods commandments. Keep the Word of God in us. 
     Just because this promise belongs to Israel, do not be thrown off. There are many blessings and promises for those who believe in Jesus. One of the greatest promises that are from Jesus is written in the second half of the verse in Matthew 28:20 ESV, "And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." We can surely stand on this if we are with Jesus! Of course, Jesus won't be with us if we are not with him. But, if we put our trust and faith in him always, he will be with us till the very end! He will lead us till the end. Let us keep this in mind and be thankful to God for what he has done for us.
     If you are going through a season of doubt, depression, loneliness, or other things, I call you to stand on this promise that God himself will be with us!!! What else do we need in this life besides Jesus! What else do we "want" except to be in His presence all the time!!! Does this excite you at all? Do not let worries or things in this life bring you down spiritually. If it does, run back to Jesus because there is forgiveness, peace, freedom, joy, and so much more in Jesus! I am not saying you will not have struggles and other things that come your way in your life, but no matter what, remember that YOU BELONG TO GOD! The God who created this universe. The God who created you; you belong to him! In Romans 14:8 ESV Paul writes, "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." Let us live for the Lord and belong to him. Let us not be lukewarm, nor double minded, but let us live 100% for the Lord for we are his. Just like in 1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV it says, "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Let our life be consecrated to the Lord and in all that we do, let it be for the glory of God!

Overcoming      Was there a time when you told yourself, "I am not able to overcome that sin?" "I am not able to overcome my old self?" Maybe you have said this when you had a circumstance in your life and there was no way out. Well, it seemed as if there was no way out. Maybe you are going through something right now in your life and you are telling yourself, "No way, there is just no way I am going to overcome this in my life." Whatever that might be; debt, sin, a problem in life, issues at work, family issues, divorce, etc. We all go through these moments in our lives that throw us off a bit. Reading Numbers and in the 13th chapter, we read the story of when Moses sent one man from each tribe to check out the land of Canaan. It was beautiful, amazing, even had good fruits, but these men were afraid for some reason. They said, "We came to the land which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit." (Numbers 13:27 ESV).
