NEW HAS CAME

NEW HAS CAME
The new has came; 2020. What will we choose to do this year? What are some of your goals and challenges you want to face this year? It is officially 2020 and it is crazy to think about that. In Psalms 90:12 Moses prays, "The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty, yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away" (ESV). We are flying. Spending the New Years with our youth and my friends, we had a discussion about this. One of my friends told me that he does not make resolutions, he just does it. We say so much that we often fail to put it into action. In the beginning of 2019, or towards the end of 2018, we made maybe resolutions. We might have failed and maybe succeeded. I challenge you this year to put your words into action and start doing more. Resolutions are good in all if we do something about them. I personally have a lot to work on. We all have areas in our life that we can improve on, but the question is: will we do it? If we want to change and improve on our spiritual walk with God, the following question is: How do I change? How do we change? What are the steps? We can get caught up in making resolutions and wanting to change, but maybe not fully knowing how to change. We can take steps to our goal. We can start seeking the Lord and asking Him to reveal himself to us and for Him to show us things that we can improve on. When we have a life that is soaked with prayer, we will see God move in our lives. We will see change. The beginning of change, is prayer. We want that or not, but that is what it takes. Of course, abiding in His word also, serving others, and there is much more. But, the foundation is this: To practice a regular quiet time and look forward to that time with Christ. It is to engage daily in prayer time. This is what we must do at the bottom line. It all comes down to if we want change or not. If we do, we start seeking the Lord and ask Him to work in our lives. So the Holy Spirit would move in us and show things that we must cut off in our lives. Ask God to show you things that you must fix in your life. For example, a relationship with someone that needs to be fixed. Maybe I need to ask someone for forgiveness and apologize. What ever happens, make sure it is according to the Bible and listen to that voice. Don't just let the Holy Spirit tell you of things that you must change in your life, without you not acting upon it. We all have a choice to be obedient to Gods word and to the Holy Spirit or not. Let us choose to obey His voice by humbling ourself and acting upon what we have received. God bless and let this year be your far best years in your life. Let this year bring you many blessings; spiritually and physically.
